Swimming Lessons

I have been looking forward to summer time for quite some time now! I love to be out in the sun and go swimming as often as possible. I decided that it would be so awesome if I signed Bentley up for swimming lessons so he could have some fun in the sun. Boy was I right...he loved it!

We signed up for the "mommy and me" class at Veterans Memorial Pool. We went for two weeks, for thirty minutes a day. Bentley learned some really cute things and did really well considering he is only eight months old. His teacher was so good to all the kids and Bentley really liked her. He loved giving her a high five after he did something good. She even made everyone dunk thier kids under the water. I was more scared than Bentley was. He did so good and eventually got the hang of going under.

Our last day of swimming lessons was on Thursday...we were so sad. Bentley has learned to really love the water and I am so happy we signed him up for lessons. It turned out to be a great experience for us.

On the last day of lessons we were able to go down the water slides with our babies. It was so much fun!! I love Bentley's face in these pictures. He wasn't sure what to think about it all. He is such a great sport about everthing and we ended up going down twice, after he decided he liked it so much!

Summer Days...and the livin' is easy!

Summer days are here and I love it! The weather has been kinda crappy these past few weeks and it just feels so good to have some hot, swealtering, sunny days. I walked outside today and found Taylor and Bentley just cruisin' around on Buddy's new little bike. It was so adorable. Taylor just held on to the back of his shirt and left the rest up to him. Bentley loved it because it made him feel like a big boy. He loves to feel like he can do things on his own. He wants to be very independent and show us that he is big like the rest of us. And at only 8 months...who knew!

We decided to enjoy the beautiful evening and take a walk down to the park. We didn't realize it was as hot as it was...I thought we were all going to get heat exhaustion. It was lots of fun though and Bentley just loves being outside regardless of the heat.

Bentley loved the curvy slides! The static electricity got the best of him and his hair was standing on end. He already has a crazy head of hair...combine that with static and you've got some pretty wild things going on. His hair is his special trademark that makes him so unique, handsome, and awesome. We love our little dude!

Where do we begin?

I just have to start out saying I am the worst blogger in all of America. I think it has been 7 months since I last made a post. Yikes. Well, no excuses anymore, Taylor and I just got a new laptop and high speed Internet so I am back in business and will hopefully keep it up this time!
So much has changed since I last posted, I don't even know where to begin... Our baby Bentley isn't really a baby anymore. He is mamma's big boy and is the cuttest little guy you'll ever see. He is full of life and energy and is always on the run. He is almost eight months old now and is such a stud muffin. He looks just like his mommy but acts just like his daddy. He and Taylor are the best of friends and I just love to watch the two of them play together. He is crawling, standing (mostly by himself), eating anything he can find, laughing at everything, and babbling up a storm. He says dada 99% of the time and that melts Taylor's heart for sure.

Bentley and I flew to Texas in the beginning of May to spend time with my sisters and mom. We were there over Mother's Day and it was so awesome to just have some good 'ol girls time and do fun, relaxing things together. I was so nervous to fly with Bentley by myself...but he was a stud and did so well. Thankfully we had my mom with us on the flight home! Bentley threw up and pooped the entire way home and we were all covered in it by the time we landed. My mom was such a big help and I love her so much! Thanks mom!

We love our little guy and have so much fun with him. He is my big little helper and I feel so blessed to have him and get to hang out with him all day. He loves to go grocery shopping and help mommy with her shopping list. He holds it for me and loves to tear it up so that I can't read what I've written down! Funny boy.

Taylor and Bentley are the best of buds and love to just kick it with each other. If daddy is in the room everything is all good for Bentley. He cracks up at anything and everything Taylor does. They are two peas in a pod!!!
